A German has to give an English speech at school =D

Hello my [GD] mates,

I have to give a speech next friday, in English!
My topic is racism and discrimination and because you are mostly native English speakers I want you to correct me and suggest good things to add.
I teach you German, so help me English =P

Here comes my speech.

"Ladies and Gentlemen,

Martin Luther King had a dream,

He had a dream that one day that nation would rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

He had a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia,
the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners would be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

He had a dream that his four little children would one day live in a nation
where they would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character

In conclusion he had a dream of a world without racism, segregation and discrimination!

Official, this is a important part of our society.
But in the reality, things differ a lot.

Stereotypes and prejudices rule our live, people are getting beaten up in the streets, partys like the NPD get stronger and stronger

There are miscellaneous things you can do.

If someone gets beaten up, stop the tormentors or deal 1 1 0.

Go to election, it doesn't matter if you vote for SPD, CDU, FDP or the Greens - just don't support the NPD with not making your cross somewhere else.

Last not least, think over your stereotypes. They are nasty, aren't they?

It doesn't matter if someone is black or white, muslim or christian, fat or thin.. we are all humans.

We are supposed to be a school without racism and discrimination.
Wake up, discrimination and racism are still alive."
